Job Built Railing
Inadequate Safety Protection Does Not Meet OSHA Standards
This balcony's job-built railings fail to meet the height, midrail, toeboard, or strength requirements of OSHA. The supports nailed into the structure will be removed prior to drywall installation leaving the balcony unprotected, creating a hazardous fall exposure for workers and members of the public until the permanent railings are installed.

Safety Boot Guardrail System
Superior Safety Protection, Exceeds OSHA Guardrail Standards
Each Safety Boot anchors into the subflooring to create versatile, free-standing guardrails that can remain in place throughout construction, including drywall installation. The posts on each side of the stairway are used to connect the stair rails and the guardrails together. This completed guardrail system meets all OSHA requirements and eliminates fall exposure.
